Holiday closures and the Pre-K calendar for families at our Lawrenceville center.
Plan a visitThe center is closed on July 4. That year the holiday falls on a Saturday, so we observe it the day before, Friday, July 3. Doors are closed that Friday. Regular hours resume the next open day. If your family needs to confirm a date, ask at the front desk and we will write it on your calendar.
Georgia Pre-K runs on its own school-year schedule, separate from our regular daily hours. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a. m. to 7:00 p. m., and Monday through Friday, 6:00 a. m. to 6:30 p. m. Pre-K days follow the calendar sent home to enrolled families, so check that sheet before you plan a morning.
In a licensed center, the calendar is not only about closures. It also sets the rhythm of the year. Fall brings new groups and cubbies. Winter brings indoor play and shorter outside time. Spring brings planting and longer afternoons outdoors. Summer brings water play and mixed-age groups. Parents see the same arcs at home, in naps and appetites.
Children lean on routine. When they know what comes next, they settle faster at drop-off and rest easier at nap. A posted calendar lets you talk about a day off before it arrives. Your child hears it twice, at home and at school, and the change feels smaller. That is the whole point of writing it down.
